Kreesmas Weesh Leest #2

Last year, i asked for the following:

1. a dvd of peque gallaga and lore reyes' youth flick 'gangland.'
2. new gloves for working out.
3. clicker.
4. john legend's new cd.
5. mp3 player(yung cheap lang).

The Gangland DVD, i got on sale six months later.  My very good friend Al Yabres gave me the gloves.  The clicker i got from Jeans.  I don't have a copy of John Legend's CD until now.  And a ghost from my past gave me an MP3 player.

Not bad, huh?

Now here's my wish list for this year:

                                                                        1. A pair of 15 lb dumbells.

'Happier.'  A book by Tal Ben-Shahar

3-4. DVDs of Mario O'Hara's 'Fatima Buen' and Maryo De Los Reyes' 'Magnifico'

                                                                            5. A Sony Ericsson P1i

                                                                6. A CD of Sugarfree's 'Talaarawan'

                                                                          7.  Cute ankle socks

The Starbucks experience

So it came to pass that after i got out of the gym, i decided to meet a couple of my closest friends for some grocery shopping and dinner. And since it was still early to call it a night, we decided to go to starbucks megamall for more chit chat.

Carrying heavy grocery bags, we took our seats inside. I went with my firend to order while another friend of ours stayed in her seat. The female barista was generally nice -- she even offered us a sample of their raspberry green tea frap.

Now for our starbucks experience:

A lady was waiting at the counter for her drink. And by the way she was talking to the guy preparing them, it seemed that they were kinda chummy with each other.

And then he called my friend's name. While we were talking, reaching for our drinks, the barista looked at me straight in the eye and said: Can i see your receipt?

Of course I knew that asking for the receipt is SOP. But, when i looked around, there weren't anyone else waiting for their coffee. In fact, aside from the lady that tha barista was friendly to, it was just us who fell in line to order. So what was the receipt check for?

The lady who waited with us heard everything. And since the whole place was quiet, i bet some other customers heard it too. There were three cups sitting on the counter. The lady already got hers. We were the only ones who entered the premises in the last 15 minutes. We were the only ones who ordered. Logically, the remaining cups were for us.

We felt humiliated.

And then it hit me that among all the fashion forward coffee drinkers inside starbucks, i was just wearing a plain shirt and basketball shorts. My female friends were also in very casual shirts and shorts. We didn't look like typical starbucks fashionistas. In short, we didn't look like we were capable of buying their overpriced coffee.

I headed back to our table, got the receipt and gave it to him. I really wanted to shove it in his face. But I just told him to check the receipt (na tinignan nya talaga ng maigi) while i grabbed our coffees.

I swear the next time I want coffee, i'm going to the 'friendlier and less high-brow' cafe across the street.

pbb observation #1

The lighting inside big brother's house is unflattering.  The housemates all look like they have bad skin.  Even Mariel Rodriguez who was fully made up when she entered the house looked like she had facial pores as big as Sponge Bob's.

ROFL

: We've been friends for a long time
ago. We come from the same alma
mother. Actually, our paths crossed
one time on another. But it's only now
that I gave him a second look. I
realized that beauty is in the eyes.

The pulpbits of my heart went fast,
really fast. Cute pala siya. And then,
he came over with me. He said,"I hope
you don't mine. Can I get your
number?" Nag-worry ako. What if he
doesn't give it back?

He explained naman na it's so we could
keep intact daw. Sabi ko, connect me
if i'm wrong but are you asking me
ouch? Nabigla siya. Sagot niya,
The?! Aba! Parang siya pa ang galit!
Persona ingrata!!! Ang kapal niya! I
cried buckles of tears.

Na-guilty yata siya. Sabi niya, isipin
mo na lang na this is a blessing in
the sky. Irregardless daw of his
feelings, we'll go ouch na rin. Now,
we're so in love Mute and epidemic na
ang past. Thanks God we swallowed our
fried. Kasi, I'm 33 na and I'm running
our time.

After 2 weeks, he plopped the
question. "Will you marriage me?" I'm
in a state of shocked. Kasi mantakin
mo, when it rains, it's four! This is
true good to be true. So siyempre, I
said yes. Love is a many splendor.

Pero nung inaayos ko na ang aming
kasal, everythin swell to pieces. Nag-
di-dinner kami noon nang biglang sa
harap ng aming table, may babaeng
humirit ng, "Well, well, well. Look do
we have here." What the fuss! The nerd
ng babaeng yon! She said they were
still on. So I told her, whatever is
that, cut me some slacks! I didn't
want this to get our hand kaya I had
to sip it in the bud.

She accused me of steeling her
boyfriend. Ats if! I don't want to
portrait the role of the other woman.
Gosh, tell me to the marines! I told
her, "please, mine you own business!"
Who would believe her anyway? Dahil
it's not my problem anymore but her
problem anymore!

Tumigil na rin siya ng panggugulo.
Everything is coming up daisies. I'm
so happy. Even my boyfriend said
liketwice. He's so supportive. Sabi
niya, "Look at is this way. She's our
of our lives." Kaya advise ko sa
inyo - take the risk. You can never
can tell. Just burn the bridge when
you get there.

Life is shorts. If you make a mistake,
we'll just pray for the internal and
external repose of your soul.

kets mi.

A week ago while i was on my way to work, I heard toni gonzaga's new song, the ' how can somethings so wrong feel so right, so i'm gonna cum any moment now' love song. i must admit, the melody is pretty catchy, and i kinda like toni's synthesized-sounding voice.

So when it was played over manong taxi driver's radio tuned in to energy fm, i listened closely to the lyrics. And all i heard was 'catch me' and 'i'm falling for you' over and over again.

So the third time i heard the song, i already counted how many times she mouths them abused to the max lyrics and:

'catch me' was repeated 11 times; and

'i'm falling for you,' 12 times.

Wala lang.

just recently...

"I'd kill you if you went out with my ex."

Rather harsh, i thought. But that was how Biscuit, a good friend of mine expressed his thoughts when i told him about this incident lately about a friend of mine going out with an ex. I really didn't give this incident much thought before Biscuit and i had this talk. The friend of mine (who went out with the ex) and i even talked about it in a very casual manner. We were even laughing.

But the coffee break with Biscuit really changed my way of thinking. ginulo pa utak ko eh.

On my way home, i felt sad. I know that somehow, my relationship with my friend will not be the same. Because for one, i know i wouldn't be able to talk to him about my ex in the manner i used to. And to think that i told him everything that the ex did to break my heart.

I just find this really weird. And a bit embarrassing.

Oh well. At least my friend and i could still talk about other things.

So, would you go out with a friend's ex?
